Kathmandu, April 11
British Gorkha Gold Cup is all set to kick off from Saturday at Dasarath Stadium in Kathmandu, organizer All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) informed on Wednesday at ANFA Complex, Satdobato, Lalitpur.
All of the first division clubs of Nepal will be for the title worth Rs. 10, 00,000 while the runners up will get Rs. 5, 00,000.
Three Star Club will take on the Sankata Club that got promoted from second division in the opening match of the tournament.
The total budget of the tournament has been estimated around Rs 49,00,000. The main sponsors, British Gurkha Group (BGG) has provided Rs 20,00,000.
The best goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, striker and coach will get Rs 50,000 each. The best player of the tournament will get one Motorbike.
ANFA informed, at the press conference, that defending Champions, Three Star Club and runners up MMC were given top seed while other teams were grouped through lucky draw.
