The number of criminal activities occurring here has sharply declined within a year. It was just a year ago when criminal activities like robbery and theft spiraled out of control in the many parts of the district.

However the situation has improved because of the effective security measures implemented by the police. The new security measures have helped in minimizing the incidents of crime.

"Not a single criminal activity has occurred within the last 10 months," Gyan Bikram Shah, police inspector said.

After massive criticism of being unable to control the crime, Shah and Deputy Superintendent of Police Mukunda Marasini were deployed in the district for controlling crime. The move of deploying them to maintain security at the district has paid off.

The locals have finally been able to live in a peaceful environment. A local said that the presence of Marasini and Shah had helped in minimizing crime. Pradeep Giri, a local, said that the entire people living at the district have felt relief these days.

The credit goes to the police officers for their incessant efforts in maintaining peace and security in the district.
