Kathmandu, June 1
Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) Friday selected the final squad for the U-19 Asia Cup Cricket Tournament.
The cup is scheduled to be held in Malaysia from June 23 to July 1.
The CAN made the names of 15 main players and 2 extra player public from the close camp they are:
Prithu Baskota (Capitan), Pardeep Air (vice captian), Rajesh Pulami, Neresh Budhayar, Avinash Karn, Bhuban Karki, Sagar Pun, Krishna Karki, Hasim Ansari, Fajlura Rahaman, Subash Khakurel, Rahul Bishwokarma, Gopal Kumar Singh, Sourav Khanal and Ram Neresh Giri are included in the squad whereas Nishal Pandey, Paban Shrestha, Rupesh Srivastava and Prajesh Bahadur Singh are selected as the extra players.
Nepal will take on India in the opening match of Cup on 23 June.
Nepal is drawn with host Malaysia, Pakistan and India in Group A while Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Qatar and Sri Lanka are in the Group B.
