Udayapur, June 9
The helicopter with Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai on board has made an emergency landing at the Nepalese Army’s No. 18 Brigade at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday.
The prime minister was returning to the Capital after attending the convocation function at the BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences and another programme at Chatara in Sunsari when the chopper encountered a problem, according to the security source accompanying the prime minister.
Another helicopter of the Army has been called in to fly the prime minister to the Capital from here, said Prem Prasad Paudel, the Assistant Chief District Officer of Udayapur District, who reached the NA’s No. 18 Brigade to see the prime minister.
