UCPN-Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda and CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal Thursday held a meeting at Singha Durbar to discuss the way out of the current political deadlock.
During the meeting, the top leader duo took up issues of the new fiscal year’s budget, constitution writing and current political crisis.
After the meeting, Nepal said they did not reach any conclusion as they agreed on building consensus to resolve the political crisis.
Nepal stressed bringing the budget based on a political consensus.
"All parties should have felt that the budget is their’s also," he added.
Prachanda told Nepal that his party was ready to resolve the political crisis based on consensus.
In response, Nepal said the political crisis could be resolved after incumbent Prime Minister Dr. Baburam Bhattarai quit his post.
