Kathmandu, July. 6:
President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav Friday told the government to bring the new budget as per the provision of the Interim Constitution.
During the meeting with Deputy Prime Minister Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadhar at Shital Niwas, he said he would not cross the limits of the constitution and the government should also follow the path laid out by the constitution.
After the meeting, Gachchhadhar said the President urged the government to bring the budget, whether it was full or partial, through a political consensus.
"But I told him that the full budget will be essential to prevent the negative impacts on the economy" he said.
He said he informed the President that the government was taking initiatives for building consensus for the budget.
The President also informed that he was consulting with legal experts about the budget, according to Gachchhadar.
During the meeting, the President and the DPM also discussed the current political situation, new budget and national consensus.
The President expressed his concern that the political parties were not serious about solving the political crisis.
