Kathmandu, July 9
Prime Minister and coordinator of the Army Integration Special Committee Dr. Baburam Bhattarai Saturday said that the former Maoist combatants’ integration process would move ahead in a dignified manner.
Talking to his party cadres at his official residence in Baluwatar, Dr. Bhattarai said that the government was serious to integrate the former combatants in Nepal Army in a dignified manner
He also urged the combatants to support the government’s agenda of integration.
According to his personal aide Bishowdeep Pandey, the Prime Minister was holding serious discussions with the political forces to end the complexities of the peace process.
Dr. Bhattarai urged the party cadres not to harbor any doubts about dignity in the integration of the PLA combatants in the Nepal Army and called for exercising restraint.
Dr. Bhattarai also assured that some technical problems arose in the integration process and they would be resolved through discussions.
He urged the party cadres to understand the complexities of the current political situation and transitional political period and support the government to conclude the integration process of the combatants.
He also said that the government was serious to forge consensus to end the peace process and to implement the earlier peace agreements.
