National Women’s fbl begin today

Kathmandu, July 13

The 14th Ncell National Women’s Football Tournaments 2012 is all set to start from today in Bara.

The 14 days long tournament will see total 27 teams’ battle for the 14th edition’s title. Three departmental teams and 24 teams from various districts are divided into two pools in the knockout tournament.

The title winner will bag Rs, 3,00,000 with trophy whereas runners-up will take home Rs, 1,50,000 and other two team who enter the semifinal will be awarded with Rs, 50,000, organizer informed.

The popular women players of the tournament will ride home a scooter whereas best players in goalkeeping, defense, mid field and forward and best coach of the tourney will bag a cash prize of Rs. 25,000 each.

The tournament will be the basis for the selection of the national women team for the upcoming SAAF Championship.

Rauthat will take on Nawalparasi in the opening match.

In the 5th Media Cup, Tarai Television will take on Avenues Television whereas the oldest publication house Gorkhapatra Corporation will meet on South Asian Sports Journalist Association on Saturday.
