President of the Nepali Congress, Sushil Koirala, has claimed that the peace process will be taken to a logical conclusion within a week if the Maoist party was serious to this end.
Speaking at a news conference organised by Nepal Press Union, here today, Koirala blamed the peace and constitution writing processes could not be accelerated owing to the UCPN-Maoist.
He said the non-implementation of the past agreement by the Maoist leaders was the main obstacle for slow progress in peace and constitution drafting. (RSS)
He stressed the need for forging national consensus government and said NC should take the leadership for such. (RSS)
