Gachchhadar assures timely statute writing

Kathmandu, April 22

Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar has said the new constitution would be promulgated within the stipulated date.

Also the Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik), DPM Gachchhadar said at a programme in the capital that the big parties need to ensure that the new constitution would incorporate the demands of Madhesi, Tharu, Dalit, indigenous nationalities, Muslim and women.

On the occasion, General Secretary of the party, Jitendra Dev suggested the University teachers to take the initiative to make all mechanisms in the University inclusive.

Meanwhile, DPM Gachchhadar received a memorandum submitted by the office bearers of National Muslim Struggle Alliance.

DPM Gachchhadar, on the occasion, said the new constitution would incorporate the rights of every minority including Muslim, and indigenous nationalities.

Muslim leader Mohamad Rijwan Ansari reminded that the Muslim community has contributed to every movement for change in the country. He added that they were for an inclusive constitution.

The Alliance has demanded the formation of constitutional Muslim commission and guarantee of the identity of Muslim community in new constitution.

The Alliance also submitted the memorandum to Chairman of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Nepal, Upendra Yadav.
