By A Staff Reporter

Kathmandu, May 1 Gyanendra Ratna Tuladhar, officiating president of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC), on Tuesday urged visiting Japanese business delegation to invest in Nepal, as it is a right time for investment. Welcoming the business delegation led by Tanaka Sunata to the NCC’s secretariat today, Tuladhar said Nepal has a more investment-friendly climate now because the peace and constitution drafting processes are about to conclude. He called the delegation members to invest in the potential sectors such as agriculture, hydropower, infrastructure, tourism, health, education and among others, as the Government of Nepal had given priorities to such sectors. He said that the government has remained effortful in creating a more congenial investment climate in the country to bring in more foreign investments. The Japanese delegation informed that many Japanese investors were eager to invest in the potential sectors of Nepal. Sunata said that that they were ready to invest in the agriculture, tourism, infrastructure and information and technology. The delegation also hoped that the peace process would conclude soon and it would open up doors for the sustainable economic development in the country.
