Goodwill rally organised
By A Staff Reporter

Kathmandu, May 23:

Thousands of people of both sexes in white T shirts paraded at the national goodwill rally organized by the Federation of the Nepal Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the King’s Way Wednesday evening.

The participants, carrying national flags, wore badges made of the flag, chanted patriotic slogans, displayed placards with slogans reading ‘Let us work’.

The road jam-packed with the people of all walks of life turned red when the audiences raised the flags in tune with the national song performed by the noted singers.

Addressing the gathering, FNCCI acting chairman Bhaskar Rajkarnikar said that the leadership failed to meet the people’s expectation to have the new statute by May 27.

"Let us work, we want to live working independently, stop Nepal Bandh and strikes forever," he said, adding that the rally was not organized for and against any forces.

He said that FNCCI was in favour of federalism with prosperity.

The rally that began at five ended after lighting candles two hours later.
