Compliments don’t make Vidya Balan fly high!

New Delhi: Had it been anybody else in her place, they would have been on the seventh heaven by now. But for actress Vidya Balan, the success of her last two releases hasn’t been able to sway her away into overconfidence. She knows that being grounded is the key to success, and is leaving no stone unturned in her way.

Speaking to DNA, Lady Khan of Bollywood said, "I’m just too happy when I hear these kinds of compliments and they make me realise that I’m on the right track. However, I don’t get carried away as I don’t want to fly high and be overconfident."

Vidya’s curvaceous figure has been the source of titillation for many men, and has left many more with sleepless nights. The actress is just not keen on giving up the luxuries of life for the sake of dieting or anything of the sort. She said, "I don’t like depriving myself of the good things in life. I never diet or anything. I feel as Indian women we all are endowed with an exotic and fuller frame. In fact, this is our USP for the outside world — Indian exotic beauty. So why try and be something that is unfit and not us? Also, I believe in doing everything in moderation. This is also my life’s funda — there are so many stunning things to do in life and I want to experience it all. I do not want to withdraw myself from these beautiful luxuries of life. I want to have all kinds of experiences that I can, in this lifetime."

After delivering two smashing hits to her viewers, the actress is currently taking time off for friends, family and loved ones.

"I have been working non-stop for quite some time, due to which I have not really been able to spend any quiet family time with my folks. I feel it’s very important to be able to spend time with people who are close to your heart and I am doing exactly that. Also, in this time that I’ve taken off before starting work on ‘Ghanchakkar’, I wish to utilise it to learn a new language," she added.
