Kathmandu, July 6
The National Independent Employees’ Unity Center (NIEUC) submitted a memorandum to Minister for Finance, Barshaman Pun today putting forth a 15-point demands including arrangement of dearness allowance in a lump sum to all the employees on the basis of price hike and making temporary, contract and daily wage employees permanent as soon as possible.
Receiving the memo, the Finance Minister assured to fulfill some demands immediately and taking remaining demands in the process to fulfill them.
The memo demands to provide Rs. One million as compensation to one who dies during office duty, to give the amount of home leave above 180 days in the same year and give waiver of interest of the amount taken from the Employees’ Provident Fund.
