Bhaktapur, July 9

Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai has said that the government has no plan to hand over the responsibility of international airport management to foreign company.

The Prime Minister who arrived at Thathali in Bhaktapur in connection with the One Night With the People Programme said the TIA was the pride of the nation and he has no plan of handing over its responsibility to the foreign agency.

Urging the people not to run after unnecessary rumors PM Bhattarai refuted the media reports that the government was planning to hand over the responsibility of TIA management to Indian Company.

Stating that he would not make any compromises regarding the nationality, integrity and sovereignty of the country, the prime minister said the media stories on the issues lacking accuracy and credibility have no meaning.

I love my country as my mother, he said and urged media not to disseminate any issues without understanding the depth.

He said he was in the position that a new constitution should be promulgated through the Constituent Assembly, expressing his confidence that fresh CA elections announced by his government for November 22 this year would give an outlet to the country.

The Prime Minister further urged all the political parties to come to a consensus and thereby make the elections successful.

Claiming to bring the complete budget in time, Dr Bhattarai said the nation’s problems could not be resolved in the absence of full budget.

Bringing in the foreign investment was a must for the country’s economic progress and prosperity, he said.

During the programme, the Thathali folks apprised of their problems of fertilizer, seeds, roads, drinking water, tourism before the prime minister.
