Kathmandu, May 11 - None of the 25 newly elected political parties to the Constituent Assembly (CA) on Sunday spoke in support of giving continuity to monarchy. Even some small parties recognised widely as pro-royalist did not voice support to give continuity of any kind to monarchy. Kunti Shahi, CA member of Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal led by Kamal Thapa just requested the people mandated ‘big’ parties to implement the republic agenda through the required legal procedures. “We should give top priority to national integrity while deciding on the issue,” she said.

Saudi Loan To Finance Construction OF Kohalpur-Mahakali Road
By A Staff Reporter
May 12, 1983- Nepal and the Saudi Fund for Development Wednesday concluded a loan agreement providing Nepal with a 441 million rupee loan assistance for the construction of the 109-kilometre road of the Mahendra Highway under the Kohalpur-Mahakali section. This portion includes road from Mahakali to Chorahi river including the construction of 20 bridges.
