Joshi’s poetry and album Kaha Chha Thau released

National Poet Madhav Prasad Ghimire and academician Basudev Tripathi Sunday jointly released poetry collection and musical album Kaha Chha Thau penned by Dr. Mohan Prasad Joshi amidst a function here.

The solo lyrical album consists of six songs composed by Dr Joshi over the years.

The poetry collection has 102 poems of different kinds in total.

Joshi, also a medical doctor by a profession, said that he was encouraged to publish the book and record the music by the environment in his family.

"To release them together has been my long cherished dream," Joshi said.

He said his homely literary environment and the passion for the poetry made the works possible.

Joshi has been residing in the United States of America for several years.

He said that he had raised both problems and solutions to them in his poetry and lyrics.

"I have tried to find the meaning of life in these works," he said.

Veteran singer Ani Choying Dolma, Ram Krishna Dhakal and Bala Bhattarai have given their vocal while Nhyoo Bajracharya has composed the music.

All three singers sang selected songs from the album during the release.

"I too don’t know how I started writing poetry and 71 poems of this poetry collection were written in nine months," Joshi said.

In his 39 years poetic journey, it was his first book.

The singers also appreciated Joshi’s work said that they were happy to have a chance to sing for his album.
