Kathmandu, Apr 25:

State Minister for Information and Communications Surita Sha Wednesday strongly refuted a news report published in a daily that accused her of seeking kickback while distributing radio frequency.

She said that he was mentally tortured by the news, which she said, was superficial and lacked sources.

She noted that journalists should be sensitive about the rights and dignity of others while exercising their own rights.

Stating that the means of communications was the great weapons in present age, she expressed her concerns that its misuse could destroy the friendly power of the society.

She said that she did not join politics to earn money.

She made it clear that it was outside of her purview to distribute the radio frequencies.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Information and Communications also expressed its serious objection to the news report, citing that it overlooked facts and simply alleged the state minister.
