Kathmandu, May 11:

Editor-in-Chief of Gorkhapatra daily Sitaram Agrahari has been designated as acting General Manager of Gorkhapatra Corporation.

A ministerial level meeting of the government took this decision on Friday. The decision authorises Agrahari to exercise the corporation’s executive rights and carry out financial and administrative activities.

The government has terminated executive rights being exercised by current Chairman of the corporation Ram Kishor Singh.

The government has also decided to send current acting General Manager Kapil Ghimire to his previous post of managing editor. GM Agrahari entered the corporation as a sub editor in Jestha 2045 BS. He has been serving as Editor-in-Chief of Gorkhapatra daily since 5th of Baisakh 2068 BS.

Agrahari is a BA Honours in Political Science and has received Diploma in Development Journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communications in New Delhi, India.
