Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) has announced the name of the five nominee’s for the Popular Player of the Year (PPoY) for the Bajaj Pulsar Sports Award 2068 on Thursday in Kathmandu.

Shakti Gauchan (SG) of Cricket, Bharat Khawas (BK) from Football, Sabita Chaudhary (SC) from Athletics, Ramila Tandukar (RT) from Volleyball and Aslesha Lissanovich (AL) from Tennis were nominated for the PPoY.

The eight member team lead by secretary of NSJF Mahesh Acharya selected the five players who succeeded to shine their names in the national sports in the year 2068.

Out of the five nominees one player will bag the title through the SMS voting. They can voted from any mobiles from Ncell, NTC, UTL network. Type the initial letters of name and surname of the favourite players and send it to the number 3131.

"From this edition, we have also managed the landline users to give their vote to their favorites through voice mail service," Hemanta Kafle, general secretary of NSJF said.

At the function, all the nominees were excited to be nominated at the PPoY and asked their fans to vote them.
